Become a Friend

Support of the Lexington Public Library is made possible in a part through the generosity of our Friends members. Friends will sponsor a wide range of free Library programs and services throughout the year that have a positive impact on people in the Lexington community. Your support will also ensure additional benefits for our libraries and staff.

Membership

There are five different levels of Friends membership:

Individual ($10)

This basic membership entitles you to ​10% discount on purchases in Friends Book Cellar, and an additional 20% discount during your entire birthday month.  Plus, Friends are invited to attend Preview Nights which begin all of the Friends Book Sales, and volunteer opportunities.

Household ($20)

All of the Individual membership benefits are given to couples along with their children (under 18 years).

Patron ($30)

All of the Individual membership benefits.

Sponsor ($50-up)

All of the Individual membership benefits.

Lifetime ($200 per person)

All of the Individual membership benefits for life.
