Customers with fines exceeding $10.00 will not be allowed to check out or reserve items.
Materials may be returned to any Lexington Public Library location.
Renewal Policies
Items may be renewed unless the item has been reserved by another customer. Four renewals are allowed per item. Overdue items may not be eligible for renewals.
Items may be renewed at any library location, by telephone, or online.
Holds Policy
Items may be reserved at any branch of the Lexington Public Library. Your default pick-up location is the location where you originally applied for your library card.
- Items can be placed on hold for 7 days and 15 items maximum.
- Holds not picked up in 7 days will be re-shelved, and customers will be charged $1.00 per item not picked up.
- Cancel or suspend a hold through your account in our catalog, lexpublib2go mobile app, or by phone, 231-5500.
- Unclaimed holds prohibit customers from enjoying library materials.
