Summer Reading Read-With-Me Instructions
- Recommended for children who are not yet reading, or who are not yet comfortable reading on their own.
- You can READ or do ANY of the activities listed on the back of your Read-With-Me Reading Log.
- When you complete a task, color in one star or sun.
- Once you have filled in all the stars or suns bring this page in to the Library for a prize.
- All finishers will receive an invitation to a finishers party.
- All reading logs need to be returned by July 31st, 2012.
- When you return your completed reading log you can enter to win Prizes!

Suggested Activities
- Take turns telling stories during meal times.
- Draw, write, or paint with an adult.
- Act out your favorite book with your dolls or stuffed animals.
- Attend a library program. To sign up for the library calendar by e-mail, go to www.lexpublib.org/nextreads.
- Hunt for letters, shapes, or colors.
- Take a nature walk and talk about the plants and animals that you see.
- Read a rhyming book and make your own silly rhymes.
- Listen and sing along to a music CD from the library.
- Sign-up for e-mail reminders online or at the Library.
- E-mail subscribers will be eligible for special prizes.
- Or other educational activities of your choosing.
