How do I clear my web browser cache?
Each time you access a file through your webbrowser, the browser caches (stores) it. In this way, the files (including any

Once these files have been removed you may want to try restarting your computer. Also check to make sure your library card and PIN are not being automatically filled in when you are logging in. If they are you may want to clear your stored login and password information.

When I access the NetLibrary website to download audiobooks, why don't I see the link to "Create a Free Account"?
Many new computers come bundled with Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) already installed. By default NIS and/or NPF block all referring web pages. The result of this action is missing graphics or content on some web pages. Rules can be created to allow missing content to properly display on affected sites.
To create a rule that permits referrer information:
1. Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall 2. Do one of the following:
- In Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall 2003: Click Options > Internet Security, and then click the Web Content tab
- In Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall 2004 or newer: Double-click Privacy Control, and then click Advanced 3. In the bottom of the Advanced window, click Add Site 4. In the New Site/Domain box, type the name of the site that you want to receive the referrer information (www.netlibrary.com), and click OK. The site name appears in the left frame of the Options window 5. Click the name of the new site (www.netlibrary.com) 6. On the Global Settings tab, under the Information about visited sites section, uncheck Use default settings 7. Click Permit 8. Click OK to close the Options window.
Will downloadable audiobooks play on my iPod?
Each NetLibrary eAudiobook is available in one of two formats: MP3 format or protected WMA format. eAudiobooks in MP3 format can be played on iPods. You can download and play an eAudiobook in MP3 format on an iPod if you use Media Center. Although the NetLibrary website does not support eAudiobook downloads to an iPod, you can manually download an eAudiobook in MP3 format from the website and play it on an iPod. eAudiobooks in protected WMA format cannot be played on iPods. iPods use the .aac file format which does not support the Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection required by eAudiobooks in protected WMA format. This DRM technology allows checked out items to expire on the due date, a feature that .aac technology does not offer. For more information, visit NetLibrary’s online help at http://www.netlibrary.com/Help/Default.aspx
