Central Library - Farish Theater

Join us the last Monday of every month for a rip roaring good time at the Farish Theater in the Lexington Public Library. One of two formats will be presented each month. Most months will have a featured storyteller who will tell for 30 – 45 minutes. Listen in as the teller spins tales, transports, and entertains all within earshot. Audience members are welcome to share their stories during open mic times after the featured storyteller.
The other format is a story slam held four times a year. Tellers will tell a five minute story. Ties will be broken with ever shorter stories – 4 minutes, 3 minutes! Come compete, volunteer to judge, or simply enjoy the stories.
If you love stories -- hearing them, telling them -- you'll want to join us!
Stories begin at 7:00 p.m. and run until 8:45. Cover: $5.00. This event raises funds to support Kentucky Storytelling Association programs and projects, and is presented in partnership with the Lexington Public Library.
