Pam Brinegar, CG, will discuss Genealogical Standards. Citing sources, analyzing information for evidence, and writing proof statements may not be among genealogy's most glamorous activities, but no family tree is credible without them. Examples will be used to illustrate the importance of setting research goals, applying the five steps of the Genealogical Proof Standard, and using the basic principle of evidence analysis. Ms. Brinegar is certified by the Board for Certification of Genealogists of the American Society for Genealogists; she currently teaches a genealogy class through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, http://www.mc.uky.edu/aging/index.html
