Home-Fried Tales by Affrilachian Storyteller Lyn Ford

Fourth-generation Affrilachian storyteller Lyn Ford shares folktales, spooky tales, and original stories rooted in the oral traditions of her multicultural African American family. Lyn calls her stories “Home-Fried Tales” to honor her father, Edward M. Cooper. Lyn says, “Dad was the worst cook in the family, and the best storyteller I ever heard.” Presented by the Friends of the Lexington Public Library, UK Department of African American and Africana Studies, and the UK Appalachian Studies program.
