This is a list of upcoming computer classes at Lexington Public Library locations.  Unless noted, all classes are free, one-time sessions.  Advance registration is required and can be completed by clicking on the class's "Register Now" link.

Learn how to use the professional film and television industry standard software to create your own video project. This class will cover basic video and audio editing, as well as adding audio and video effects.

Learn the more advanced editing functions of Final Cut Pro X including: color correction, green screen effects, and much more. All "problem" video clips will be provided for you.

Introduction to Facebook

Get up to speed on how to create, use, and maintain a Facebook page of your own, including understanding the complex Facebook privacy policies and settings. Learn the ins and outs of one of the most widely used social networking programs. Prerequisite: Email basics. Must have a Valid Email Address.

Introduction to Mac

We will cover the basics of using Apple software and hardware. Some experience with computers is necessary. This class will be using OS X El Capitan.

Pinterest is a popular social media site for creating virtual pin boards of the things you discover online. With Pinterest, you can create and share pin boards on any subject you can imagine, from vintage cars to funny cat videos to your favorite tutorials. Join the fun and explore what other people are pinning. Prerequisite: Email basic or equivalent experiences. Must have a Valid Email Address.

Explore how to build a simple web page using HTML. This course will introduce basic HTML concepts from scratch, combining document types, HTML element tags, and some beginner styling techniques to create a website that you can run in your browser. Online Storage: Access your files from anywhere

Explore the cloud and find out what online storage can do for you. Microsoft SkyDrive is the primary site we'll explore, but the class also provides some basic information of several other prominent storage sites. Prerequisite: Internet Basics or previous Internet experience. Must have a working cell phone number to create an account.

PC Basics

Save your work and find it again. Create folders, learn how to move saved documents and pictures from one place to another, and discover the tools to keep your computer organized. Prerequisite: Students should be able to use the mouse and keyboard.

Learn about the interface and basic tools of Adobe Photoshop. You'll also learn how to effectively use and work with layers in Photoshop.

We'll talk about how to format and upload images, write interesting and engaging product descriptions, keep yourself organized for tax time, and tackle the dreaded question: How much should I charge?
